There are a total of 96 different sample cards; with 100 copies of each card having ever been printed. There will never be more MetaZoo sample cards created and released to the public.
The most notable differences between sample cards and the first release of Cryptid Nation: Base Set are:
- No card set numbers
- Black borders on the front, and
- The sample set markers; found bottom-right

The list above used to state 93 different sample cards, but on September 13, 2022, it was updated to show that there are in fact 96 different sample cards. Black Cat, Ice Storm & Spirit Aura were missing. Thanks goes out to MetaZaurus for letting us know!
Where are the card set numbers?
The sample cards are in alphabetical order, and do not show set numbers because there simply were no card numbers assigned to the Cryptid Nation sample cards. This information was only added to the cards for the Kickstarter print run and onwards.
