I want to start off this summary by apologizing to you all for being so late with this summary, and the January 30th MetaZoo Hour summary as well. Going forward, I will do my best to get these hours summarized the day of, or the day after at the very latest. That being said, I also got the January 30th summary done this morning, but I will publish that one in 4-to-6 hours from now so as to not confuse anyone or annoy those who are signed up to the MetaZoo HQ push notifications.

On Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 10:02am EST, MetaZoo Games founder Michael Waddell started up another MetaZoo Hour on the official MetaZoo Discord server.

There were a total of 130 MetaZoo related questions & 9 personal/unrelated questions that were asked by members of the MetaZoo Discord community, and the answers all came directly from Michael Waddell himself; unless otherwise stated.

As always, we’ll start off with the MetaZoo-related questions first, in the order that they were received, and then move onto the personal questions afterward. Try searching for things such as “Wilderness,” “Valentines” or “NFT” to narrow-down the results. It all works dynamically. 🙂

  • Is there any plans to reprint cards like the Inks to actually reasonably put them in the hands of players?

    Mechanically similar ones yes, but never the inks themselves

  • When is the full board of directors going to be announced?

    As we get them 🙂 some big ones coming

  • Will there be any MetaZoo TCG exclusive cards for the backers of the new Kickstarter?

    Yes

  • I’m new to metazoo and want to know when you’re coming back to New York?

  • Will nightfall cards be on reserve list?

    Not in this initial announcement

  • Do you have to attend collectacon for Spoiler packs if you are an NFT holder?

  • So I know that Metazoo and Revive skateboards are collaborating, is there gonna be any promo cards included with the skateboards themselves?

    They will be blind boxes that have a card that can be redeemed for a board

  • Will there still be other ways to use our metazoo medal coins?

    yes… in perpetuity. roadmap at nft.metazoogames.com

  • What about NFT’s from different artists? The same way you have fan art packs dropping.

  • Will there ever be a 1 of 1 card in a set anytime soon?

  • What are the prices or tiers of the new kickstarter gonna be?

  • Will the Metazoo Online TCG incorporate the ability to trade cards between accounts utilizing the block chain?

    yes

  • Are there Easter eggs out there you and the team have hidden that we haven’t found yet?

  • Is it true nightfall won’t get a 2nd Ed?

    nightfall 2nd edition will be exclusive to big box and special items, no booster boxes or any product from 1st edition

  • Is there gonna be something in place so that all the spots for the new Kistarter don’t essentially get “scalped”?

    KS has been working on their bot prevention I think

  • To confirm, is the Sol TCG drop based on Solana? If so... I want to start stockpiling.

    Yes

  • Is the new KS for playable cards for Metazoo TCG or like poker cards?

    Poker

  • Any plans to one day make Booster Boxes or specialty boxes that allow for Pack Draft Play similar to other TCGs?

    yes

  • What's your preference? PSA, CGC, Beckett? Do you have any graded cards to show?

    We do not have an official preference

  • Will all booster boxes be made from recyclable material going forward?

    If we can do this, yes. 1 and done doesn’t make sense, but there’s a lot of things to consider

    Eventually if we can get sign off from their creators on a collab

  • Will we ever see auras that generate duel/multiple aura types?

    yes

  • Do you have a date for when we will have to burn our genesis for the new 16-bit versions?

    We will have a date very soon

  • Mentioned the other day you plan on implementing a reserved list like mtg, when do you plan on making an announcement for the first cards?

    Tomorrow

  • Will you ever release your original artworks as promos or even alt art cards?

    Yes 🙂 already have a plan for this

  • Do you join Facebook groups and hangout, would you like to join MetaZoo Vault fb group lol?

    I try to stay out of secondary market groups!

  • Plans to upgrade card stock quality?

    I’m quite proud of our cardstock quality

  • any potential for an Inugami card while on Yokai Island?

    Years if I have my way, and that’s assuming it ever needs to happen

  • How is the card numbering in a set decided?

  • Will Metazoo 1st edition ever come to Target or Walmarts?

    Wilderness 1st edition special items will be in target and walmart, but we will likely try to keep it to 2nd edition exclusives in the future

  • Is the reserve list more for iconic cards, or OP cards?

    yes

  • You mentioned upcoming sets: wilderness, ufo, séance, and war. Is Ouija still an upcoming set or was it replaced with seance?

    replaced!

  • Is there going to be different functionality for different types of the nft token?

    no

  • Did metazoo hire any people for the video game development?

    1st edition print runs remain the same size starting with wilderness, even when we 10x our fanbase size each year
